Minimum System Requirements – QuickBooks Enterprise 2013

CAUTION: I have encountered a client who proceeded with the installation of the latest QuickBooks Enterprise 2013 product to find out that the installation routines WILL prevent the installation of the new product on machines with less than 1GB of RAM. For those clients with the old Windows XP Workhorses, make sure to update the RAM on ALL workstations before your proceed. These are the official minimum system requirements as published by Intuit:

  1. Minimum 2.0 GHz processor, 2.4 GHz recommended for a client

  2. Minimum 2.0 GHz processor (1.2 GHz for Linux), 2.4 GHz recommended (2.0 GHz for Linux) for a server

  3. Minimum 1 GB RAM for single user, 2 GB RAM recommended for multiple users for a client

  4. Minimum 1 GB RAM, 2 GB RAM recommended for a server

  5. Minimum 2.5 GB available disk space (additional space required for data files) for client and server

  6. 250 MB disk space for Microsoft .NET 4.0 Runtime.

  7. Microsoft Windows XP (SP3 or later), Vista (SP1 inc 64 Bit), 7 (inc 64 Bit)

  8. Minimum 1024×768 screen resolution. 16-bit or higher color

  9. 4x CD-ROM

  10. All online features/services require Internet access via IE 7, IE 8, IE 9
